Celebrity trends – What’s hot right now?

celebrity trendsOne of the biggest celebrity trends in skin rejuvenation is Radio Frequency Micro-needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy but commonly trends as the instrument brand name of Morpheus8). Celebrities such as Amanda Holden, Judy Murray (Andy Murray's mum) and Kim Kardashian have all taken to their social media to rave about the results, and it’s not hard to see why.

The procedure can knock years off the way you look by significantly reducing the ‘turkey neck’ and smoothing out the skin's overall appearance. Radio Frequency Micro-needling can also be used on the stomach, thighs, and buttocks to reduce stretch marks and tone up lax skin.

So, what is Radio Frequency Micro-needling?

Radio Frequency Micro-needling

The procedure uses fine, tiny needles in combination with radio frequency to penetrate deep into the skin. The needles cause micro-wounds, and the radio frequency heats the deeper layers of the skin which triggers the increased production of collagen and elastin. Skin grows back smoother, toned, and rejuvenated. Line and wrinkles are less apparent, and scars become flat with a more consistent texture to the rest of the skin.

You can see a difference in the skin a few days after the procedure however, maximum results are obtained approximately 3 months after when healing process has finished. Depending on the area to be treated a course of treatments may be recommended.

For hyperhidrosis, Radio Frequency Micro-needling can reduce the number of sweat glands helping those who suffer from excess sweating.
